We Must Stand Together, Above All Adversaries

How dare they,
How dare they call me a fool
Call me a fool for being me.
For accepting others for who they are.
For being open about myself.
For letting others have their own ideas.
How dare they think themselves high and mighty.
They merely belittle those who rise above their selfish lows.
They spit and spew nothing but hatred.
They believe they're poisoning others,
when really they're only poisoning themselves.
So how dare they think that I'm self absorbed
When I merely shake my head and say
"If that's what you think then hey,
It's fine by me."
For I know that they don't understand,
That there is a greater plan
Behind such words.
A plan that is not for one or another
But a plan for everyone.
Because in the end,
How dare they think that they can crush a spirit
With words of hate, when 10 words of kindness take it's place.
